As airlockcs are such a problem, would a clear container not be better?

I figured if im dragging round a bright yellow and blue back pack without such problems and not being able to see the water level, im.sure a black container would be just as useful.

Sorry Nathan to sound so cynical, but what are you hoping to achieve from this ? a higher flow and able to carry a few more liters of water.
Its the fact that you use 4 wide bore pencil jets on your brush that you are now spending time and money trying to overcome the limitations of a backpack that would be more than sufficient otherwise.
Like I said, apologies but just my opinion. I'm sure it will look and work great when finished regardless. ;)

No worries barry.
But yes your kinda right. I personnally like working with a faster and wider flow on my work and my backpack wasnt able to give me this. But i did say on vid thatbits a great compact backpack from gardiner. But also for me it looks like im carting a ghost busters' back pack around. Now i'll be able to drag a water container around 😂😂 lol it sounds ridiculous when i say it out loud, but i hope it will look a little more professional from a customers viewpoint than what im working with at the moment.

But i do love making small modifications if it helps me in the long run and if we are all making the money per house as we all say we are, then its not quite breaking the bank.

Ive bought enough of these cheap pumps to still be able to do so.
Lol im still keeping the backpack as a spare or keep it for dedicated purpose instead of windows.
But it still looks like a ghost busters back pack but it will just have a faster pump 😂

I'm not really getting the whole more professional looking bit if I'm honest. And the ghostbusters thing is just in your own head.
Maybe I'm missing a trick here ................... I should go out and buy myself a boiler suit , it could be my USP !!  ;D

Lol, would be funny to see.

It might be in my head lol, so therefore for me i dont mind and to be honest, i wish i did this before. The trolley was a tenner from aldi and i already had the containers due to some additional work.
Therefore this is costing me a couple of quid or so for a pump, a small amount for a battery and a couple of quid for an analogue controller, a digi voltmeter and a toggle switch and less than 5 quid for chequer panels. So building my own trolley which many have done so, is cheaper than buying a back pack and sticking it on a trolley.
But thats just my thinking. Each to their own...........but obviously im not knocking anybody who does this as ive been doing so for a year n half and i personally just fancied a change.  I just like these little projects, like refitting my van etc.

Let me know what you reckon to final product when its done   👍

So by going with a black container you're gonna be replacing the ghost busters cart with a Darth Vader cart ;D

At least with a clear plastic container you can see at a glance how much water you have left in it.

That is quite a good advantage, but im used to having a quick look by taking the lid off the gardiner one so not much change really.
But my work uniform is black so it will cit in quite nicely.
Also im having a lable made up for the front of the container which will stand out more so on a black background.

However i only use the trolley for odd jobs so unlikely i will run out of water anyway.
But even though im not on the trolley all day (as i have a van system), i want it to perform how i want it to.

Good idea with the outlet at the bottom but couldn't be doing with filling it up with a 2" hole at the top,at least with the backpack you're  sure not to spilll any out the sides when filling up,
I like the Brodex trollies with a 50 litre capacity and  no changing barrells, even the x line ones .

Thankfully my hose that i use to fill the back pack is long enough to reach direct to the container so not to spill. If it does become a problem i will invest in a trigger (petrol style ) gun to use

Ok im still waiting for the delivery of my analogue flow controller from north ireland.
So im gonna hopefully put it mostly together and ive just finished my darth vader tank. I decided to use a female rectus fitting. I used my soldering iron to melt a little holr into the side and forced the nut end into it. As the melted plastic cooled and closed in on itself it has given quite a tight fit which i will demonstrate on a vid later when completed. But heres a quick photo

This sticker will go on the front of the container.
