I have the Fiat Fiorino , same van , i have a 350 , wfp everything at 1.7 L a minute , thats 3 hours 45 minutes of pumping water non stop , i have run out of water once in 2 years , most days i get home with at least 100 L left .
I dont think its a case of water volume its more based on the work you do , 350 is more than enough for me !

Errr ... no it's not. 3 hrs and 45 minutes is 225 minutes.

225 x 1.7L per minute = 382.5 litres.

350 litres at 1.7L per minute = 205 minutes and so you only get 3 hrs 15 minutes continuously.

To actually get the full 350 litres from your tank you will have to park so that the dregs cover the outlet.

So you will need to carry a 25L barrel to ensure you can finish that last house.
205 minutes is actually 3 hours 25 minutes Mr Gold not 3 hours 15 minutes , we were both wrong !
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

I take it you don't use flow controllers,that's outrageous  as a single operator  :o :o .
I take it they work  really long hours like 12 hour shifts ;D.
650-700 liters as a single operator is beyond ridiculas.

Gets better here !!  ;D  To get the full 350 litres from your tank you just park, maybe half on the kerb so its tilted, so you can empty the tank. Where the 25 litre barrel come into it ? Never carried a barrel of water in my life.

OK CleanClear, here's why.

Let's say ou've got 15 litres of your precious 350 left. You have a house to do. Will it make it or not? So you carry a 25L as insurance.

I used to do this with a 400. But then, like most on here I preferred the flexibility of choosing whether to do more than 5 hours work in a day.

I'm gonna go wobble me head and have another look at this in an hour or so. I said i've never ran my 350 litre out, but you're telling me how to not run it out based upon your experience with a 400 litre tank. You carried a barrel ?

To be honest i just wanted to know if the Nemo 1300 engine would pull the weight fine. I'm assured it will.

Wobble away!  ;D

Threads evolve. Others will read this thread and knowing that 350 will not be enough for many 1 man bands will not restrict themselves with a van that cannot have a bigger tank put in when they expand their round beyond part time.

But they can all make an informed decision now.

Love the Nemo set up. Who made the tank? Did you have to modify the rear springs?

If you do buy it don't lend it to Susan or it will come back as a 2 man set up, with a 1000ltr Ibc nailed to the roof  ;D

Just to say that this engine is a Fiat multijet 1248cc engine - the same as in the Fiat Doblo 1.3 and is easily powerful enough for 350L.

For six months before getting a bigger van my doblo 1.3 was 2 up with 400L plus a trailer with 200L.

It's still running now at 11 years old back to it's "normal" 400L tank with one up.
