anyb?ody got a  caddy maxi 1.6 tdi ? if so what are they like ? seems all the new vans are low power out puts now so was wondering what there like with weight in , we be putting a 700 in it

My mate used one and has a 500 tank,seems to pull fine but with a 700 litre tank will be pushing it with driver and fuel etc.

ok thanks bought it now and fitted a two man 750 in it today first day out tomorrow for it got to be better then the old shape expert it came out of nasty 1.9 gut less thing

Isn't the max payload something like 800/850kg?

Your guys use 650 each aday dont they ?

you will be over the legal limit weight wise for sure with 2 workers and a full tank.well overweight.what a stupid thing to do.its the sort of  thing a newbie would do not someone who has been in this game for a few years.

Only a 750 for a 2 man should be putting at least a 1000lt one in going by what you say they use. Suppose you could stick a 500lt tank on the roof as well.

 we fit all vans with two man set ups  now , when they first come on line ,  for the extra 350 it costs in money its worth this extra spend knowing that if any thing goes wrong  with one you just clip your pole on to the second system and carry on

 you always have a full set up ready to just switch on  why carry a tool box with spares in when you can fit it from the get go and be done with it no messing around ,

also if we have a van down we can jugle the lads and carry on last week were had two vans down , one wrote off the other dropped its clutch so we just sent two , two man teams out all they had to do a transfer there poles in to the next van

not to worried about the weight as long as its some where near . lets not go down the " if your overloaded "  you may hurt someone rubbish as anybody that's wfping lying the hose out in the street or on a customers drive may hurt someone just the same or does that not count maybe its a diffent kind of hurt

There is no difference at all between someone maybe tripping over a hose pipe or a couple of tons van not being able to stop at a zebra crossing and running down a bunch of school kids because your vans over weight.

The manufacturers & VOSA have literally no clue as to why you shouldn't go over payload, what a bunch of mincers worrying about your suspension collapsing whilst taking a corner at 30mph, brakes not having same effect due to the front being lifted as too mich weight in back etc etc...

Its exactly the same as hose across a drive.

The things people do to save a few quid, just get a bigger van; you're apparently earning enough..?!
Hopefully one of your lads doesn't crash as you might find you get your ass sued off.


(I doubt you're even close to the payload as the water you carry alone pretty much covers it)

I realy don't care about what happens the diffents is I am upfront about it , when going out on the bikes me and the group I ride with regular see over 150 mph guess what we don't care about that either northing better then lifting the front wheel while over taking a bmw at 100 mph on the m25 #thuglife
