i dont understand why anyone would do sub contract work.loads of horror stories of guys not getting paid for work(in all different trades)over the years.my grandad always said "dont put all your eggs in one basket"so i dont.they are all in hundreds of different baskets.i stick to domestic and independent commercial jobs.sub contracting is too much like working for someone else rather than yourself IMO.
I sincerely hope all you guys get paid though.
We do this type of work because we see the reward as being worth the risk.
I'm not naive, I realise there's a chance of not being paid for work done, however when I weigh this up I still think it's worth the risk.
I'm owed a good chunk from them. I've also earnt a good chunk from them, without problem, over the last 4-5 years, I'm talking £80k + here, all earnt before 9am when you are just cleaning your first house of the day.
Fair enough that you are happy cleaning just houses and small commercial and there's nothing wrong with that whatsoever and I know you do just fine financially from it, but some of us are prepared to take bigger risks for bigger rewards, you must understand that?
It's a bit of a rubbish situation for a lot of people on here, myself included, but I'll not be getting too upset and negative about things. Life goes on.
