Anyone heard of these people?
« on: June 11, 2006, 08:10:45 pm »
Saw this ad in the local paper (Kent), it's been running every week for about 2 months now...

"WINDOW CLEANER required locally. Experience not necessary, training provided, vehicle essential. £600 p/week to start, increasing to £700+ p/week 0208 502 9157 anytime"

Then somebody I know said they had spoken to them and they basically build rounds, but charge..... 10x the monthly round cost. ie £1000 a month will cost £10'000.
But here's the good bit they can arrange credit for you to buy the round....

Anyone on here heard of them or delt with these people?

Thanks all...

I,ve seen the same ad in the kent messanger I think its pds. thay will put a round togeter for you and give you training. but it does sound like a lot of outlay for what it is.

So what happens if any customers cancel??

If your paying 10 x the round value that is a serious if not questionable amount of money to pay out on good will!

Especially when the round is fresh and new and no history?

Not my cup of tea!

X10?????? What a rip off! That means you will work totally free of charge for 10 months! Why would anyone want to take up this service when they can easily walk around the houses and canvass themselves. Also, by canvassing themselves you can 'choose' which houses you want to knock on and just do the houses that look easy and accessible. You also get to introduce yourself to your customers and start building relationships.
Canvassing is easy - Knock on the Door and say 'Hi, Im from xyz Window Cleaning. Would you like a no obligation quotation for window cleaning' Always smile (but not manically) be friendly and thank them for their time when you finished. easy as that... x10?? - my arse!

He asks 4 times the round value. Apparantly guaranteed.
Doorknockers do the same thing for 2 cleans.

i think the main pds selling point is that they can arrange finance,so you can pay monthly, im glad he charges these prices 4x keeps the market value of a round  high ,the only downside for me is more wc entering the industry,
