Hi is soft washing basically spraying everything in bleach? I know  you need harsh chems in pressure washing but they are diluted significantly enough by water to neutralise.

Would appreciate any answers, I have some areas that need sanitizing and cleaning where pw isn't practible. Just don't like the idea of spraying lots of bleach around and just leaving it.

Also are the results as good or is it a time thing...

This is an interesting question, for a long time I considered 'softwashing' to be the use of Quat based chemicals but lately anything that isn't power washing is called softwashing.

Sodium hyperclorite(sp) will always have a place in exterior cleaning as it can give immediate, excellent & visible results but does it give results that will last? It is very safe to use, 'bleach' tends to have a reputation as being harmful and nasty but it is relatively safe when used correctly, you yourself have this mentality..... not liking the idea of 'spraying lots of bleach and just leaving it'

Thanks Mike, perhaps I should do a course and learn more.
Trouble is finding unbiased information to make a considered judgement.
I do use biocide which are definitely bleach based but I also want to be as eco as possible.

soft washing is just the latest 'in' thing mainly because to many roy rogers have screwed up pressure washing - the same will happen when those who are just after a quick buck start spraying everything and anything that moves

to me 'soft' is just low pressure - i use low pressure nozzle and them injector total cost £40.00  or i use a backpack and wfp set up
no need to go out and spend hundreds on so called dedicated softwashing set ups ( but I'm a tight ar$£

When using Sodium Hypochlorite you can apply Final Wash to neutralise it.
1. It cleans out the pumps and lines on your hose etc
2. When sprayed where bleach has gone it renders it safe - ideal when public/pets are nearby

No just common sense...which appears harder to come by than a licence.

I'm thinking of running a course on common sense. 3 days, cost £8000.

 at the end you will be given a certificate saying that you have common sense, it will prove invaluable and save you a fortune ( just think if you had some common sense you wouldn't pay me £8000.... so straight away the course has paid for its self🤓)
