Following another thread by Barry Scott the other day i thought i would show my findings on the green stuff , and im glad to say that it does lay flat (well done Alex) .
My initial thought when i opened the box was this aint going to go well , i was wrong , i could feel it was going to work well with the Univalve , its bang in the middle of all season and Gardiner red/orange in terms of stiffness.
But it still had a bit of spring about it , more so in the centre of the 100m coil , i did not pre soak in hot water , i just tied one end to a lamp post and walked it out down the road , once all out i then walked a few more lengths with a wet rag on it to get all of the turns out , like you do reeling micro in .
This i reckon is the key to getting any hose to do what you want it to do.
I then connected it all up and ran the water through it (cold) , i then had a few more walks down the length with the wet rag with it under pressure , it laid down flat as a dab which was nice
Took a vid of it all pressured up so you can see for yourselves , i will try and get it up on the next post !
