 i am giving some consideration to a 400 psi enforcer with the steam option but wondered if anyone has experience of lugging them up stairs to do flats( i currently have a storm and use a 150 psi sensei with a 3 stage vac for this )....................Alan

Dont do it!! the machine is really heavy to be pulling up stairs.
The highest i have pulled it up was to 3rd floor in block of flats! never again. Now leave machine at bottom and run hoses up to the flat, use the v2 in the flat perfect then.

I saw an enforcer when I went to Alltec it must have been in for a service all I can say is that they're bloody big.

I have a storm and just run the hoses up to 2nd floor anything above I encap .

Get the bigger machine in the long run it will make life easier

The "lid" can be used through 220 degrees it just won't rotate when the vacuum is running.
If you've ever tried to pull a storm up narrow winding stairs, filling it,  emptying it and  then lowering it back down without touching paintwork then you'll appreciate why most people who use them leave them on the ground floor.

if you read the manual supplied it states ,,,,, The lid must always  face forward when in use.
Purpose built flats 2 floors and above do not have winding staircases.... (fire regs) most have a lift or a standard concrete stairwell.
As for filling and emptying.... If you leave the machine down stairs you will be up and down the stairs like a yo yo.
