Best Advertising for pressure washing?
« on: June 04, 2017, 11:03:22 am »
Hi all :)

I have been pressure washing for a year now and I'm enjoying the work a lot more than cleaning windows, I would like to push the pressure washing a lot more and I'm wondering what advertising works best for you?
I have a website but I'm advertising other services on it besides PW...would it be better to have a site purely for PW?

Any help apreciated ;)

All my pressure washing work comes from leaflets, and we are working 6 days a week.

We constantly are putting them out 7 days a week ( I was out this morning at 6:30 leafleting) I do a minimum of 90 minutes a day I disagreeistant does 2-3 hours. This is why leaflets work for us we put them out constantly even when we are busy they still go out

From what I have seen today ad  boards left outside of completed jobs seems to work for some.
I counted 5 in the same street. 3 from the same firm and 1 each from 2 others at it.

Who prints your leaflets and how many on average would you put out per week.
I was think of getting an order from vista print.

Printcarrier are by far the cheapest and the quality is excellent. Although you need your own design all they do is print. We get about 2000-2500 out a  week but that is by its self and they definitely go it ( as  its us doing it)

But unless you do what we do I would never suggest doing leaflets, the delivery is the most important bit, the guy on the window cleaning section who has just got 80,000 leaflets and is asking who can deliver them is setting himself up for an expensive lesson.

Thanks, looking at the prices for delivering around here it's £45 per thousand. I'll have a go with printcarriers template if that fails it's something that took 5 mins on vista print.

If you have ever delivered leaflets in any quantity and had company do them for you in any quantity then you will quickly realise most of these companies have to be cutting corners somewhere as the return is no where near what you get when you post them yourself.

Alan Have you an idea where these leaflets are going to be delivered? If so then personalise the leaflet for that area. The great thing about digital printing is you can do small batches targeted to specific areas or specific demographics. Your leaflet could almost go out anywhere in the country to a business or a household. I would aim  it a bit more to a specific target

My leaflet goes out to a small 5 miles radius so within the leaflet the villages in this area are mentioned it's purely based on cleaning peoples homes

People by the hour looks quite an interesting idea I might give it a go
