Van system
« on: May 26, 2017, 04:10:48 pm »
I've been wfp for 7 years now, so decided to treat myself to a new system previously I had a ionics pro 5, after looking around I decided to use a company from Suffolk call K Systems the man in charge is called Neal, he came to me in Solihull on Wednesday and fitted me a 700 litre system, 2 man set up both with boilers for hot water, used it all day Thursday, brilliant bit of kit , stupidity I did something to one of the boilers Thursday evening which meant it needed a higher flow rate to switch on , something I wanted to avoid having two of us working, I phoned Neal with the problem and he drove a 300 mile round trip to fix it for me , first class aftercare and yes he had already been paid in full.
Highly recommend

Surprised that he would drive 300 miles to fix something that was not his fault.

Maybe he has changed his ways but there has been a lot of negative feedback about K systems on this forum.

I can't think of any other fitter who would do this at such short notice ,not sure of past negative comments but did me a massive favour today, and it was my problem for tinkering

Normally if you have a problem you would be expected to get the van to the installer yourself.

Especially as the problem was not his fault I am mystified as to why he would travel such a long distance to fix the problem at your premises.

Did he charge you for doing so?
Or is there something your missing out from the story? Because i struggle to understand why you couldnt be guided over the phone to undo the faffing you had done. Which would have saved fuel cost and time.......thats yours as well as his.
It seems like something is missing??

Or perhaps whatever the negative past comments are, hes trying to rectify his reputation and so willing to fill tank of petrol more than once and enjoys driving on motorways in spare time to fix some faffing of perfectly good equipment left in full working condition when he last left.

Oh no, this forum.is rubbing off on me! Im becoming more sceptical  :o  ::)roll

I know someone with a K system, he said it is OK but the after sales service is poor. Also a friend of his had a K system and there was some fault with it and he could not get the company to rectify it.

This was a few years ago so maybe Neal has changed since then.

Also there has been a lot more negative than positive feedback about K Sytems on the forum, which is why personally I would not wish to do business with Neal.

What happened was I read the manual that comes with the boiler regarding turning a screw under the system which would result in me needing a lower flow, I over tightening it and broke the thread resulting in water squirting out everywhere, I phoned Neal and as I said he came and fixed it and for no charge, so it's a massive 👍Up from me, system is great

I'd be interested in why you opted for the stacked hose reels and what you think of using them?

The main reason was freeing up more room in the van, only worked 2 days with them but seem good

I've had a k system fitted last year, seems decent enough,I needed one pronto as I was sick using a trolly as my other van was off the road, rang Neil up and told me there was at least a 3 week wait,he  said if I drove to him he could do it on that weekend which I rang on a  Thursday afternoon, I grabbed the opportunity  and  was very greatfull which still resulting a 3 hour round trip.,some people are decent and do go out of their way to help you.

He fitted mine about 6 years ago and it's been great.
Yes at times hard to get hold of but when I've been in his company seems a decent bloke and if I was in need of a new system and was going to use a company I'd be straight on the phone to Neal.

I've seen John's van. He has a vent in the roof, assuming he still drives the red van.
