Hi,
Thinking about buying another pole. I use Gardiner slx ones but the Brodex seem better priced. Any reviews on these?

Poles' and price say it all the cheaper they are the bend and the weight increases,the extra you pay for a pole gets repaiad in the fact it makes your day easier. I would never compromise when it comes to poles the lighter and stiffer the better,not only is it easier on your body you can actually clean windows better with it.

Sometimes the only way some cleaners will learn is to experience Brodex's poor after sales service for themselves. Most of us who have experienced it will never buy from them ever, ever again.
True, there are some who for some reason have had good service from them, but there are plenty who haven't.

When you buy a Gardiner pole the pole model refers to the length of the pole. Ie SLX22 is 22' long. With Brodex a 22' pole isn't 22' long as they include reach as well. So a 22 foot pole probably measures 18'.

I dealt with Brodex.

Laughable is all i can say. Customer service was awfully lacking. Prices at the time i used them were ridiculous, and products were below par.

Awful attitude. They have gone bust several times too. I wouldn't touch any product with the name Brodex ever again.

seriously mate are you for real?

why would you go from a good carbon fibre pole like an SLX to a aluminium pole?just to save a few quid?

your working day is going to get a lot harder with an aluminium pole as their much heavier and bendier.

Had a 25ft Brodex hydra alloy which as Spruce pointed out was really only about 22ft, they used reach height to fool the customer
into thinking they where getting a longer pole (roll eyes).
Horrendous pole.

My first Pole was a Brodex 18 Ft alloy, because i was new to WFP i didn't know any different, then i
learnt about Gardiners Poles on here, bought an SLX 25 Ft about 4 years ago, and couldn't believe
the difference, what a learning curve.

Everything else as a wfp user can be done on a budget. A d. I.y van mount does the same as a 5k install does.

But with poles it's the tool used everyday in your hands. The ease and speed and which you work is dictated by it.

An slx will last a few years if looked after. Mines lasted 2 and counting and I don't look after it I throw it around. They take a beating.

Its like a mechanic buying his spanners from argos instead of the snap on van to dave money in the short term. Yes it's cheaper but you'll soon regret it when it's not up to the job.

You are right proving your body is worth -------less, as well as thick. They make crap poles.

I would rather waste my cash on a harris pole if you want to save cash.
