Cheers Marc I'm going to try this out.
I'm loving the screwfix degreaser but it's always good to have plenty of options for different situations.
Do you think the liquid detergent mixed in a backpack would work well?
Possibly but you are going to need to wash it off afterwards. So I would go with dipping in a bucket

Thanks Marc.

I'll try this out.

Are you a Daz, Bold, Aeriel lover.

Or do you get whatever's on special 😁

Chris what's the screwfix degreaser for, Upvc?

Is it called pvc now?

Can we change the name back because of brexit😁

Any Bio powder will do. Just make sure it's biological washing powder or it won't work.

Cheaper the better, I use co op powder

This may well be handy for self-cleaning conservatory roof glass. Virosol screws that stuff right over. It can be rectified but best that it doesn’t happen in the first place.
How do they rectify it, I'm always very careful with self cleaning glass, i didn't know it could be fixed.

Marc i cleaned a con roof today with tesco own brand bio washing powder, very very good indeed.
I poured some into the top filter in a Gardiner's backpack, mixed with pure and sprayed all over the roof. Left it for 5 mins then scrubbed on a low flow before rinsing off with a high flow.
Is it better then screwfix, virasol, ubik etc...?
Yes!
Amazing results, it really 'eats' the dirt effectively.
Also you don't get bleeding from black seals like you nearly always do with the others.

This will be my go to now for fsg and con roofs. Screwfix will be good in a spray bottle as a quick spot on treatment for dirty windows.

Nice, what sort of dwell time?

It's pretty much instant as the dirt just desolves away.

Interesting, thanks Marc.

As for self-cleaning glass and virisol. Last year I used Virisol on a self cleaning glass conservatory roof. It completely buggered the glass, made it look frosted/misty. If I was the owner and left it like that I'd would've been suing me.

Anyway, the owner phoned the manufacturer and the solution is to spray descaler on. It worked a treat and restored the glass back to its original condition.

Nothing gets rid of tiger stripes, unless your using softwash chems of course which alot of us don't.
I did find that bio washing powder significantly fades tiger stripes, more so then other chemicals.
The stubborn ones around a con i cleaned yesterday I soaked in washing powder then gave a quick rub with a non scratch scourer. They disappeared easily.

Thats still a good difference.
Washing powder can be bought anywhere plus it's super cheap in the long run. Big tub of tesco own brand is what, £4 for around 40 + washes? That's 40+ fascia or con cleans. I never get that out of a 5 litre chemical bottle, unless i mix a really weak formula.

First try with bio gel today. Don't think it's better than G101 but smells good.
