My pressure washer has earned  me over 2 grand this week, so if you have the work then its worth the money, not a lot of business that can return your investment so quickly. But my middle sentence it the most important .....'if you have the work'

Believe it or not £2k is not a lot for a complete pressure washer set up.

Mike you seem to be forgetting the trailer mount spec washer setup you are currently using  is a lot bigger, better and quicker than most can get for 2k surely. Can I ask how many jobs do you do in a week?

10-12 a week over 6 days, but this last week it has all been single, big jobs each day.

We  are getting a massive amount of conservatory roof cleans which is proving difficult to handle as my mate only works 3 day week and I like to have 2 men on the job when I'm using ladders

Hi Gordon
Although kev is absolutely right , 2k for new stuff is fine if your starting up  there is always pre owned on here for 500 or so

I operated for years with a gsx 390 15lpm bought with hoses lances and a whirl away for a grand .

Like Mike says get some jobs coming in then buy new .

Is it worth the expense/ pressure washing
Equipment

Hi lads I have small window cleaning round
Is it worth buying a washer or should I not bother. Thanks Gordon

If u think the customers you already have may be interested in a bit of pressure washing u could be recuperating ur money as soon as u start.
I spoke with Ben at Rutland pumps before buying and he advised me on what I would need based on the jobs am looking for. Great guy and just a phone call away for after sales advise should u require it.

I have started pressure washing as a add on to window cleaning and im enjoying it....its a bigger learning curve than window cleaning and its a lot harder work than you might think messy too :D

If you do decide to spend 2K on pressure washing equipment, allocate a portion of it to purchasing a decent measuring wheel, you won't regret it and will spare you some possible embarrassment in front of discusties.

Really !

Never measured anything in my life .  One glance and I know the timing on it within an hour. then it's a calc on your rate?

Rather buy extra hose or a turbo lance.

Do some market research first.  If your window round consists of property's with huge houses and big areas to clean - affluent types then of course there's going to be money in it.

If your round consists of terraced and semis with scatty little patios and your prices are a fiver a house then how much are these potential customer going to want to pay for a driveway doing? 20 quid or so...

I speak from experience, tried in my area and on my round but apart from the odd exception my area won't take the prices I would want to make it profitable so I find I earn more removing the faff and just doing windows.
