Best rotary for carpet cleaning ?
« on: April 14, 2017, 09:23:36 am »
Hi Guys
As a complete newbie starting out I am after some advice please.
I have just completed my two day course at NCCA with Paul Pearce and I am now starting to get some gear together
The one thing I am stuck on is which rotary to get
Most I see advertised are classed as high speed floor scrubbers which obviously I am assuming are too harsh for carpet cleaning
I am after some advice as to which is the best all rounder for carpet cleaning so I can use it also for bonnet cleaning etc once I'm proficient

All constructive advice gratefully reveived

Ideal size is 17" with a speed of 200rpm or less.

Some people use faster machines which is fine when experienced as they can generate heat which will damage.

I prefer heavier machines myself of about 40kg+ as they give good results in less time to lighter machines. Especially when used for LM/Encap cleaning.

That's brilliant. Many thanks. It's all a bit of a minefield when you're just starting out so much appreciated

To add on to what Jamie has said.... whatever size rotary you get, get pads that are 2 inches bigger, it allows you to get up to the walls etc.
Everyday this forum slips further from God.  :'(
