I do admire Lee as is always thinking outside of the box so to speak. Fair play to him for giving it a go.
I agree.
But with a TV advert I can't see how you're ever going to re-coup the cost.
What time of day does the ad run?
I agree the radio campaign wasn’t a success. Its a good time of year to advertise and it will get his name out there, who knows, but Id rather invest that kind of money in a different manner. There was a documentary on Radio 4 yesterday about advertising, Google was the way to go, thats what I put my money in to.
Agreed. Although I would have thought there's a big Google campaign backing this up as well. If you're doing a big tv campaign people hardly ever remember the name of the company, so they will google 'window cleaner in (their area)' when they remember a day or so later that they had seen the ad.
The only other exterior cleaning company I know to do tv advertising are Thomas Sanderson. Google 'conservatory cleaning...' in any area and they are always top. Must cost them a fortune. But they do it so it's worth it. They are also a massive company who primarily fit blinds and shutters so would have a professional marketing strategy behind them.
Radio advertising is the same, it has to have other expensive forms of advertising running concurrently to work.
