Young man, there's no need to feel down
I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground
I said, young man, 'cause you're in a new town
There's no need to be unhappy
Young man, there's a place you can go
I said, young man, when you're short on your dough
You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time
It's fun to stay at the YMCA
It's fun to stay at the YMCA
They have everything for you men to enjoy
You can hang out with all the boys
It's fun to stay at the YMCA
It's fun to stay at the YMCA
You can get yourself clean, you can have a good meal
You can do what about you feel
Young man, are you listening to me?
I said, young man, what do you want to be?
I said, young man, you can make real your dreams
But you got to know this one thing
No man does it all by himself
I said, young man, put your pride on the shelf
And just go there, to the YMCA
I'm sure they can help you today
It's fun to stay at the YMCA
It's fun to stay at the YMCA
They have everything for you men to enjoy
You can hang out with all the boys
It's fun to stay at the YMCA
It's fun to stay at the YMCA
You can get yourself clean, you can have a good meal
You can do what about you feel
Young man, I was once in your shoes
I said, I was down and out with the blues
I felt no man cared if I were alive
I felt the whole world was so tight
That's when someone came up to me
And said, young man, take a walk up the street
There's a place there called the YMCA
They can start you back on your way
It's fun to stay at the YMCA
It's fun to stay at the YMCA
They have everything for you men to enjoy
You can hang out with all the boys
YMCA you'll find it at the YMCA
Young man, young man, there's no need to feel down
Young man, young man, pick yourself off the ground
YMCA, it's fun to stay at the YMCA
Young man, young man, are you listening to me
Young man, young man, what do you wanna be?
YMCA, you'll find it YMCA
No man, young man, does it all by himself
Young man, young man, put your pride on the shelf
YMCA, and just go to the YMCA
Young man, young man I was once in your shoes
Young man, young man I was down with the blues, YMCA

Come on, come on, Come on, come on, Come on, come on, Come on (2x)
D'you wanna be in my gang , my gang, my gang, D'you wanna be in my gang, Oh Yeah! (2x)
I'm the leader, I'm the leader, I'm the leader of the gang I am
I'm the leader, I'm the leader, Well there's no one like the man I'm
I can take you high as a kite every single night
GaryI can make you jump out of bed standing on my head
Who'd ever believe it, Come on come on (3x)
D'you wanna be in my gang, a my gang, my gang, (2x)
D'you wanna be in my gang, a my gang, my gang, oh Yeah! Do You ? my gang,
Come On! Come on, come on, Come on, come on, Come on, come on, (2x)
D'you wanna be in my gang , my gang, my gang,
D'you wanna be in my gang, Oh Yeah!
D'you wanna be in my gang , my gang, my gang, D'you wanna be in my gang, Oh Yeah!
I'm the leader, I'm the leader, I'm the leader of the gang I am
I'm the leader, I'm the leader, I'm the man who put the bang in gang
I can take you over the hill, ooooh what a thrill
I can make you sell me your soul for my rock and roll

I'll wait and see what they look like on your van, before I decide to join  ;D

i accept its not everyone's cup of tea joining an organisation but for £30 a year its not a big loss to me, i appreciate at this stage the organisation cant do anything in regards to influencing the industry that we work in such as HSE etc but maybe if  enough people joined who knows.
You can get certain discounts from suppliers etc and i am sure there will be more to come in that department, for me i hope it becomes a nationally recognised umbrella group with the best interest of window cleaners at its core
A lot of people seem to think the FED is an outdated organisation maybe its time for a modern one........only time will tell
If Mark can bring as much success to the WCA as he has done to the window cleaning show, see this years event, then it will be worth joining..........Just my opinion

if you know the guy behind it , [mark munro]  youll know  hes the sort that gets things done, and done right!

hes behind the window cleaning show and thats gone from strength to strength hasnt it   -and so will his alliance group- all down to his vision.

Is this a non profit organisation?
And I wouldn't be joining a trade association just to get a sticker for the van.

I admire what Mark is doing with the show, his page and now this and all the best with it but if this is anything like the mgwc that Lee burbidge has then it,s pointless.

The Federation of window cleaners is slowly becoming outdated  but it carries the most weight out of any of them.

Wasn't knocking it, its just that its all been tried before (the MGWC) think it was it had all the right intentions but didn't really do anything or get anywhere and had no clout . Agree with you that Mark could make it work better and wish him luck, i will certainly keep tabs on it's progress.

burbidge has no  vision.   i dunno if you followed his posts/vids on facebook where he took a homeless guy [glasgow george] under his wing and set him up as a window cleaner?  the fact was it was so obviously all about promoting lee lee lee    . a  sales gimmick  nothing more

you just dont do that to a vulnerable human being

as regards the federation,  iv been a windie quite a few years now, not once have i ever read anything good about them  online.  i know a windie who is/was a member and he told me  he never got any tangible benefit  -and its not cheap to be in it
