« on: March 21, 2017, 07:36:34 pm »
Hi everybody

just wondering if you could all help me, I am just starting a domestic cleaning business and just wondering how long on average do 2 bed /3 bed and 4 bed houses take to clean, I have to go to give a customer a quote on Thursday and not 100% on how to do this

any help would be much appreciated

Hi Natalie

Have ur hourly rate in mind and go see the customer, try and sell as many hours as possible but on a regular basis, say have a regular clean maybe weekly and have a bigger clean on a monthly basis. Use this customer to get to know the neighbours.
If it's just a one off tell them they will need u for a full day to make it worth it

If you don't know already I would probably ask the customer what level of cleaning they require and what surfaces etc., note it down and replicate the same scenario in your own house and time yourself. If its a one off then charge a bit more. To get an idea of what other companies in your area are charging just look on the internet, some companies price every domestic cleaning item and this may give you a bit more confidence... good luck with your venture.
