Had to do this a couple of times. Feel a right toilet pulling up in my old car full of barrels. But needs must. My van needs to go to garage at somepoint trying to put it off because it will be there a while.

Make sure sure the backpack is fully charged lol and even then be prepared it might not last a day.

What will usually happen is you will try to squeeze out that one last house and the thing will die half way through.

I'm sure you will swear a bit but it's not that much slower.

i used a backpack and 4 barrels for a whole  month in jan until i got my new van.its a good back up system. :)

i put 30m of pole hose on my pole and used a fold away trolley with a bungee.i also took a small DI vessel with me to purify another 100L for the afternoon via customers outside taps when available.it was surprising how much work i could do.obviously i was a bit slower and i couldnt clean certain jobs as it would be too much of a pain but it kept me ticking over and i had a great earning month in the end! :)

i was glad to get back to a van mount though after a month of backpacks and barrels but it saved me from losing out on £3,000+ in lost earnings.
price higher/work harder!

I'd find it embarrassing turning up in my 5 series BMW full of water barrels. I'd just borrow a van from my mechanic

Barrels and backpack is how we all started I presume.
Nothing wromg with it, I have a trolley in van as a backup. Slightly slower but gets the job done if need be.
Van mount the way forward though.

My vans also off the road ain't got another vehicle so hired a ford transit 300 pound for the week. Strapped the tank down just to manage. Got the water genie pump box so no trouble to transfer. As least I can carry on working might be a while till I get my van back. I'll hire for another week if need to

Then on the opposite end of the scale, you have people sitting doing nothing usi g every excuse possible not to work.......its umbelievable.
Before i went wfp my car was off road for a couple of months, i had to walk 5 mile or more with ladders etc to get some work done.
