You need to find out what the payload is for your particular model. It can vary between 595kg (old model) & 1000kg (on the new  lwb models).

I have the higher payload version of the old model (785kg). I carry a 350L tank comfortably. For my payload I think a full 500L tank would be pushing it a bit... I carry two 25L containers just in case I run out of water - which doesn't happen very often.

900 kg payload (minimum) for a sole trader with a 500L  tank IMO.the older combos are not suitable mate.
price higher/work harder!

the older vauxhall combo is good for a 500l tank, as long as its the 2000 model, payload is around 750-800kg depending on engine and spec,  they are good vans I have a few of them

I used to run a 04 combo 1700 with the izuzu engine with a 500ltr tank. it was the worst vehicle ive owned. constantly broke down. Id advise getting a van with at least 1000kg payload.
