Anyone cover up the vent in the lid ? Always seem to get a bit of water out of mine so wrap a scrim around it to mop up the wet, its not much at all but it bugs me.
Is there a reason why we need the vent there?

The vent is there to let the water flow if you didn't have it you would end up with a vacuum as air wouldn't be able to
get into the tank to replace the used water.

I get the same problem at times. Splashes  out of the vent cap. It came of last week so expecting loads of splashes when I top the tank. A better designed lid would work

It's a barbed to push fit connector inserted into a hole drilled to the same size then, as you can see just a straight push fit connector with a bit of pole hose into it.

I put a piece of tape over inside and stuck a pin in it to let air in, had a dry tank since.
