Just wondering if there is a hose on the market that has a reasonable level of insulation?

not without being heavier and harder to manage mate.

i just use the standard yellow gardiner hose which is suitable for hot water but its not as insulating as the 8mm red thermobore i used to have but that was a nightmare to use day in/day out.too heavy.
price higher/work harder!

Supposed to be good.

I would check its 6mm though. I have been told it's 6mm via a friend.

I've tried nearly all of them and normal microbore is just as good.

I use this and it's good easy to handle hose , the best I have used but it doesn't hold the heat in .

I'm still using standard minibore only  because I was told by purefreedom yonks ago it put less strain on a pump.
Works just fine using hot so I don't get why people need to spend more on thermobore type hoses.

I have the Grippatank red hose it's excellent but is heavy and difficult to drag around corners , I have one reel with the red and one with normal microbore the microbore is better to use from a weight
Point it of view but the reds good for commercial when you aren't reeling in and out so much as for insulation the red is better but not a huge difference

They do the red thermo hose in mini and microbore , i have the 6mm thermo and its very easy to handle , actually find it better than the satndard yellow 6mm microbore.

Yes that's what I've got , it's excellent, but heavy , doesn't pull around corners of properties very easily , it does last very well I have one reel with that on it that's 2 years old and it's still like new , the other reel has normal yellow microbore  on I've replaced that once . The yellow with hot water does stretch and is not as robust as the red but it's usable and easier and quicker to work with particularly on houses , I don't find a lot of difference in water temperature between the 2  with a 100 meters of hose out , however if only 20-30 meters of hose out the red is a fair bit hotter

Thats weird , i dont find it heavy at all , even compared to the yellow stuff.
