Smart round app
« on: January 15, 2017, 01:18:38 am »
Moved from a Windows 10 phone to android so I'm looking through the app store and came across https://www.smartround.co.uk (£6.00 per month)
Has anyone used or heard of it?
I downloaded CP but it's too expensive for my work so I'll be deleting it.

Used george for ages and i love it

the only thing i dont like is printing out work sheets

30 quid for cleaner planner is too much imo. plus its really fiddly dont like it

Im trialing aworka at the minute, it looks better than cp and a tenner a month isnt too bad

the thing with cp and aworka seem to be you make a daily worksheet for each day whichj is ok but its hard to see the rest of your work.

I never have set days and are often behind plus i tend to do a bit of tomorrows work if i finish early etc so a set worksheet for the day doesnt suit, i like george in that when you print it off you have the whole week in front of you to go at plus whats behind

i might try george on a pda next see if that works better than paper

with george on a tablet, im guessing you can use it paperless as you go about your day and then backup when you get home

if so this might be the way for me

i never paid £30 a month dont know where you got that for a single user?????
as with cp i just do a work sheet for the whole week simple !!!!!
george is so last year so out of date and the support i had when it went wrong was nothing but useless which forced me to try different planners
no need for a tablet with cp just use me phone easy

I use CP very very happy,  £18 a month is more than I used to pay with George but, customer service very good and the amount time we spend is so reduced and ability to move  every round on with holiday within a minute it's worth the money

Customer service is what you need when something goes wrong, like when I had 'Buckit' things started to go pear shaped and they couldn't sort it. A complete waste of time inputting data.
I've had a moan about this before and someone from CP or Window cleaner pro said to just send them my spreadsheet and they would upload the info.
Smart Round also offer to upload the data but the last thing you want is to go paperless and then the sticky stuff hits the fan... Again.

you can still print out a work sheet and then input when you get home, but that just defeats the object

anyone use Cleaner planner who operates on a franchise basis,

I looked at moving to CP a while back, I decided against as was advised that would need to pay £18 per franchisee rather than all rounds covered under the ultimate package,  is this still the case?

That's what I do. I Velcro the tablet to the rear of sun visor in my van so it just folds down for me to view it and update it throughout the day. 😊

I think you would have to download the latest backup to your laptop whuh could bf a pain as yiu have to contact george to get it.. Maybe backup to USB ad well and then  do it that way.

Or buy a cheap second hand netbook and take it with you to work and use it specifically for George.

Sent Smart Round a message last night asking about other features and their reply was -
We are currently working on the following features based on user feedback:
The ability to add team members -  This will allow you to schedule work for anyone who works for you. The employee will then be able to login to the app and mark the status of the job whilst there out cleaning windows.
New Job Sheet Module - The ability to add one-off jobs to a job sheet. This would be for jobs such as Gutter Cleans etc.
Re-Ordering Jobs - An easy feature to re-order the jobs on a round.
GoCardless integration - The ability to set up direct debit payments for your customers.
Mobile App update - With the next update of the app we plan to add the ability to Add customers, Edit Customers, View Job sheets along with an overall face lift to the design to make it even more user friendly..
We really value our customers feed back and plan to be continually improving the software, so once the above features have been integrated we plan to move along to building out the invoicing feature.

How are you finding the software at the moment? I can see you have added some customers to the system. Do let me know if you would like me to bulk import your customers to the system, this may save you some time.

Has anyone used or heard of it?

There is very little information given on the website.

Also, I hate typos.

Tired of keeping tracking of overdue fees on a spreadsheet? SmartRound has a built in chase debt section allowing you to monitor your customers and their overdue fees.

I downloaded CP but it's too expensive for my work so I'll be deleting it.

CP covers the cost of its self many times over.
