Has anyone had success with large royal mail leaflet drops?  100k leaflets+ not just the odd couple of thousand

No, but I did use them to deliver 80k in 2008

Aye. Did 30 odd thousand end of October. Paid for itself pretty quick and got some super cool jobs. And still coming in.
But...........
I can only conclude that I am to deliver our flyers as I seem to get a far better return. God knows why.
So I'll pay someone else to clean  windows while I buzz about making chit chat to potential customers.

I would use Royal Mail again though.

Probably not the best time of year, so interesting results. Did you get much regular custom out of it? My leaflets bring in almost only regular work, but often with a one off fascia clean on the first job, or conny roof or gutters. I think I'd be disappointed if I got primarily one offs.

Fair to say I've more regular work than one offs. And lots of the the one offs I've pushed to annual, solar panels gutters etc.
Got lucky with a couple of big jobs which pays for half the cost of the campaign.
Probably was the worst time of year, although in my experience, people will put a flyer in a draw for a few months.

At one time the post office paid their postmen and women to deliver flyers separately in their own time.

One of the local posties got fired because he took the flyers but didn't post them. They found piles of them in his garage.

I'm not sure how their system works now as our relative no longer works for the Royal Mail.

It does seem that the posties get to put the flyers in with their regular mail, but how they get paid is another question. We also don't know how that mail is tracked, if at all.

The Royal Mail never suspected that postie. It was the customer who was monitoring receipts of his flyer into homes in that area. Apparently he had a few contacts and he asked them to save all flyers so he could see  what was delivered and when. He noted that in a particular area no fliers were delivered by Royal Mail where there were lots delivered on the other side of town. It was only then that the Royal Mail reluctantly launched their own investigation

This is probably the reason why windies and others employ a dedicated person to deliver their mailer with a tracking device so they are more assured that their leaflet has been delivered.

I would be pretty sure that Lee Pryor hasn't used the Royal Mail since 2008 for a good reason.

Probably because the majority of people enquiring from your flyer don't have a regular window cleaner. Those that do have a cleaner they are happy with will just bin your flyer.

Window cleaners don't like doing 1 off jobs, but there are a lot of customers who just want their windows cleaned occasionally.  They will have learnt that windies want regular work so will agree to a regular clean.  They will then change or try to change the terms of the agreement after the job has been completed.

Good for you amigo. My experience is different. We do gutter cleaning and panel cleaning too. Perhaps this is why.
I've about 30,000 in the garage, gonna try deliver them myself!

I did 3 lots of 10,000 a time but not with Royal Mail. Always got good, consistent results. Always got an excellent return on my investment.
