I had one horrible thing to use very bendy under pressure, heavy to use for prolonged periods , for gfs I found it looks clean but the re growth with algi. Is very quick , stays looking better far longer with water fed pole I also find using the pole easier less mess and does a better job and you arnt blasting water under the roof tiles . I cannot remember who it was but someone made one out of a Gardiner's pole and put a turbo nozzle on it it looked very good and a lot lighter than the yellow  thing you posted , I intend to make one myself when I have the time very useful for washing down walls and commercial buildings

They are poo ! I know they are expensive but you get what you pay for but I have the carbon one http://www.streamlinesystems.info/products/high-pressure-washing/2/highline%E2%84%A2-high-pressure-telescopic-lance-5-sections-33-foot-reach/53/

I pre spray first then wash off. Pressure washing gets into the gutter clips better than wfp and is considerably quicker

For best results I've found is to use softwash method instead of jetting the crap out of plastics hoping that bits of trim don't come flying off, damage joints. force water into the roof space etc

Comment like that always  make me smile :) it show a slight lack of knowledge of building construction, considering the joist are notched onto the pan sitting on the inner skin..... for water to get into the loft space would be a miracle ( I was a builder for my younger years, serving my time as a bricklayer  with a small house builder....... so did my fair share of roofs)

A real concern with powerwashing rooflines is if they used window board for the facsias, and just sat the soffit boards on the drip..... then you could dislodge them with too much pressure.

Using  black wash  for rooflines is more dangerous in my opinion as whatever you spray on the UPVC will often also touch the walls and drip onto the ground and cause clean streaks and spots

Mike I've also built a few houses in my time too and can assure you water can get forced into the loft space using high pressure :P

I have the same 7.3m pressure washer lance as in the link posted  but stopped using it as soon found it was heavy/ whippy load of rubbish. Don't waste your money on that crap.

Benz blackwash works ok.However to be honest it's overpriced for what it is for just 10% Sodium Hypochlorite with a small amount of scent and soap added.

Instead at the mo I tend to buy 14-15% Sodium Hypochlorite in 20 ltr containers locally. Currently I'm using cleaver wash as you just add a little to whatever strength Sodium Hypochlorite (SH) you want to use.
http://www.softwashing.uk/cleverwash.html

Alternatively  you could make your own SH mix by buying the sent and soap separate or use it without any additives at all as I sometimes do on paving.

Regards to biocides (DDHC) I've used  algoclear pro 40% also benz biocidal wash 50% but again are overpriced for what they are so  next will be giving Softwash Pro 50 (50% DDHC) a go   http://www.softwashing.uk/softwashpro-algoclearpro-alternative.html

DDHC 40 & 50% being sold for softwashing are just white label brands and will all do the same job so why pay out over the odds when you don't need to.

Hi Mike,
Is that the omnipole  power pole you are using in the video?  I have the same but it's a nightmare running through my 21 Ltrs  per  machine
