plan of action
« on: January 07, 2017, 04:19:35 pm »
so i managed just over 3 hours work with 120L pure today (and thats cleaning most ground floor windows with the pole too)so from monday im going to take a little DI vessel with me and fill up somewhere at lunchtime whether itll be at home or at a customers property.

i was surprisingly fast really as im using 40m of pole hose so dont need to move the backpack often(some jobs i leave it in the car!).

i was only around 10 mins slower than my van mount!this was on 4 weekly work though(estate work too).ill probably be a bit slower on larger jobs and commercial but who knows?i might surprise myself!.

also purifying 120L takes about 15-20 mins so quick too. ;)

i am avoiding lots of top frames(unless their really dirty) and im more careful with water generally esp when rinsing upper sills.

Not being funny Daz, but why don’t you just bugger off to a Greek or Spanish island for 10 days?

Don't tell her ;)

Say you're having a post-sobriety black-out and you just woke up one day in Spain, no idea how you got there. If you really want to lay it on thick say you don't even know where your passport is and you came round wearing a strange woman's pair of knickers, dressed in nothing else, except the number of the local hooker tattooed on your forehead.

Make sure you check the DI of the water if you fill up at customers property Daz. I live in Thelwall and my water is 70ppm, not the 30ppm that you get. Other areas of Warrington are as high as 350ppm, wouldn't  want to put that through your resin.

Just a thought that backpack would make loads more money doing softwashing instead of window cleaning for the same amount of containers used surely?  Say doing 3-4 house render cleaning  jobs  priced well then you should have enough money to buy another engine.  ;)

Bit weird the water locally.

My old place in Latchford was 029.

My new place in Thelwall is around 070.

Orford and Padgate are both 350 😳

I was told the south of town the water come from Walton reservoir hence the low TDS. The north of town the water comes off the Pennines, hence the high TDS.

Thelwell ponies crap on the moors. That's why the water is dirty.  I know, I used to read the Thelwell pony books when I was a kid.

I've got plenty of regular window cleaning work overdue mate.I'd rather get that cleaned and up to date than splashing about with hazardous chemicals on one off jobs.

Fair comment but was thinking more of an add-on to help bring in more bucks for you in your time of need.
I don't know of many one man bands that could earn more on glass in one day doing domestic than you could earn doing the same hours if not less softwashing.

Hope you get the van sorted soon then as I'm thinking the novelty is going to wear off very quickly.
I give it to the end of the week and you will be pulling yer hair out with all that farting about.
