Brown silicon bits.

Usually on wooden framed windows on red brick houses built about 25 years ago. Wfp brush seems to spread bits of aging silicon over the glass. Wipes off easy with rag but annoys me. Is the answer to squeegee them?

I've had this recently but couldn't figure out what it was , I rinse and rinse but when all the water has run down the window, I can see bits of something on the glass

Customers don't seem to notice.
I'm only guessing it's the silicone but can't see what else it could be?

Its more than likely small bits of paint coming off the silicone ? I'm not so sure silicone can just break up like that even if its old.

I get it on double glazed windows, don't think I clean any wooden framed windows

About half of mine are wooden. It's definitely only where there's a brown bead around the glass. Perhaps it is the stain. Or something else if you're finding it on upvc. It's sad that I actually care.
