I never knowingly undercut anybody for work.

Just keep up the good work. Thats how it all works, just charge more than anyone else. When a tender comes up i try to find out the top price they've been quoted and then charge a bit more. Always charge more, can't go wrong.

I never knowingly undercut anybody for work. I go in with a price im happy with for the work i do.
About 4 months ago, ive expanded a segment of my round ( 😉 )  into a small side street at the request of a customer who i was recommended by word of mouth. Now i clean 3 houses and just finishing on street today and a woman came out, said she has UK Window cleaners come for  £16 to clean her house. Which is a good price. She asked me if i could give a price to beat it??

So do i give a price perhaps a quid cheaper and vue it that im saving them a trip from leeds. Or being local, do i price it the same (it is a good price for the work) and see if the UK window cleaners customer's stick to them based on their first free clean policy to win loyalty???
I posted about this company a while ago, trying to poach customers with such an offer. Thankfully i only ever lost about 3 clients, which im now thankful for.

Or more likely, she is penny pinching and she will only dump me for next shiner to come along cheaper, so not really a potential customer??

I went with latter.   What would you have done??

i would of priced it up as i normally would and (whether it was lower or higher than  uk window lickers)offered my services, take it or leave it.simple.
price higher/work harder!

I'd love to have 'clients' on all of my rounds.
I only ever get customers. So unprofessional..

If I ever turned up at a place to quote and they were to come out with if you can do it cheaper you can have it I would just walk away, how long you gonna keep it where does it end when she keeps saying that to WCs she sees up the road. If your getting every job you quote your to cheap  I don't expect to get a lot of the work I quote as I always go in higher than most,it doesn't always work going in to low either I've had people say they were to cheap I didn't think they could do a good job for that kind of price

Price it higher and see if she accepts the offer out of curiosity
