« on: November 28, 2016, 09:43:54 pm »
Been to see a job.

Blu Tac on 80/20 .

Any advice the best / safest way to remove ?

I have 4 bedrooms to do and about 5 or 6 lumps in each room.

Thanks

I use Prochem Citrus Gel which needs agitating into the blue tac to release it.

How long a dwell time would you give the citrus gel?

Many Thanks

Chemspec POG and rinse it. If you can I would charge for the removal as it takes more time to remove than you think.

Citrus Gel or low odour white spirit
Not a fan of using POG in bedrooms especially if there are young children due to the really strong smell.

Is this safe to use on commercial carpet tiles and won't bring up the bitumen backing, in your experience?

As to the POG........my reading error on bedrooms. I am trying to remove the wretched stuff as fast as possible hence the POG. I do rinse it and leave the windows open, although somrtimes when I forget, I'm in a happy place!!

Never had a problem with Detak chewing gum remover.  It comes in a plastic container unlike my old solvent spotter which would melt plastic.

Update.

All went well, 4 rooms in all , all with blu tack on.

A combination of solvall and Citrus gel worked a treat.

Must have been 20 to 30 bits in total.

Client over the moon.

Cheers
