Always nice to get good feedback and they are kind enough let you know when they want their windows cleaned again. Nothing wrong with that surely as we all tend to forget they are the customer after all?  For how long though that is down to you ;D

Dump unless you need the work. I'm putting up with more than I would normally at the moment because I'm trying to build up more work, but I tend to dump those ones.

Better still, add on what you would have earned for the months missed on next years price and if it works you will have fewer cleans for the same money.
Smurfs right, its the customers money and their business in how they choose to spend it, its your service and your decision
on how you choose to offer it, but it should never be taken personally.

Exactly Sean and Smurf.

When its a win win situation on both sides then its a happy business relationship - when the balance tips either way and becomes a win loose situation then the relationship will suffer.

But it must never be taken personally.

End of day its quite simple. We offer a service. People either employ us to do that service or not. So intimately you/i are the boss of our own business and how we run it but, they become our employer, employing our service. It never becomes more than that.

Had a couple want to cancel for winter. Told them I don't do that and good bye. A few more of her friends in the estate cancelled. No idea what she said to them, didn't care at the time
All the estate were Asians. Good bye.
Mod note: No they really weren't,were they?  ::)roll

When you agree a price its for 4 or 8 weeks all year. Now if they state that they go away a lot, or don't want it doing in winter. FINE add 50 % on to price

ive only had 1 cancel till march,    if i let her go someone else will get her custom,    its only £6 per month.   but every £6 adds up.  if i dont like them then i wont do them again.    saves me getting rid of them.

i had a chap canell this weekend when collecting.     I didnt know we had a windy he says.   That is why your windows & frames are clean i says.      ill do them from now on he says,   No problem  i say.     F You  i though really.     If his mrs asks me again because chaps dont like doing windows ill just tell her to set up a DD.     sO I WOULNT have to look at him again.
They will be the odd one out as i lean all neighbours in that area

I had one customer who insisted on getting them cleaned between April and September every 4 weeks which I didn't mind as it paid well and was an easy house to clean.

Around July this year her hubby had to pay for the first time, he informed me they were getting new windows installed so they'd ring when sorted. I pass the house regularly on day to day business and it's still the same knackered old windows that were in it. Obviously the pain of having to pay for the wife to have her windows cleaned was too much for him.

if it wasnt for women wanting clean windows i think most of us would be out of business by now.most male home owners are nt bothered at all.

on topic i dont have any customers who cancel for the autumn/winter months.i have one who goes 8 weekly instead of 4 weekly.(£20 job)thats it. :)
price higher/work harder!

its an excuse to get rid of you.ive had it about 5 or 6 times in 23 years of window cleaning!(some still have the same windows after 10 years!) ;D
