What type of hose are you all using that is so hard to wind in and putting all this strain on your shoulders . Is it garden hose , mini bore or something similar . It takes me about 20 seconds very easy no strain to wind 120 metres of pole hose in .
Very well done 😁

I had to take mine to bits. I'll try again when I get chance.

I had no end of problems with the chain jumping off.  I messed with the tension and the length, I tried truing the cog up nothing.

It did my head in so ripped it out
Have you tried a chain tensioner?
Look at this on eBay  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192095993098

I use 7ah alarm system batteries. £7 off eBay. Switch out after two days but never seem flat. Takes 2 hours to recharge them.

The reels really dont take that much power, your using them seconds at a time. 30 - 40 secs to pull in the whole reel, but how often do you use 100m? Ive got mine hooked up to van battery, which everything else is on. Never an issue.

Sorted mine. It was a stiff link in the chain.

So much better than manual winding. Its a jot to finish a house and press the button...no more sweating like a pig winding a load of hose bit that keeps getting snagged.

Mine arrive the next day even though it said  48hr delivery. It came with the correct cog (as described by ebay) the eBay company I used was "petrolscooter" and they sell everything you need. The chain link extractor they sell is NOT very good though.

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Moto-6mm-CHAIN-SPLIT-LINK-BREAK-TOOL-25H-Chains-Minimoto-Dirt-Bike-Quad-/172514557621?txnId=1666619330007

I ordered this the other day as i got one from another supplier. Paid 15quid for it as it came with additional pieces but bent a piston on it when extracting a pivot and then it snapped.  So ordered above from same place where i bought my 6mm H25 chain.

I would have posted a pic of my finished result on the newish reel from purefreedom (bought 2yr back). It took some doing to dismantle and fit the cog but it will be well worth it. Ive secured the motor down and wired it all up with a on/off switch at side. Just have to wait on 2nd chain splitter now and hope no more mistakes and then i can post my finish result
