Made mine yesterday, couldnt thank shotokan  enough. 

Little bit of jigging here and there, but wasnt too hard to figure it out. Got it to £30.50 for bits, im just deciding on the on the switch, i like the idea of a remote one but just something else to go wrong in my opinion.  Pic and little vid below. PS thats not me getting excited on video

Would love a list and links to what you bought if possible. I have a spare reel the same as yours that for the money it cost it's worth a play. Did you fit a spacer on the opposite side to the cog?

i decided to get my wireless relay out and play about with it again, i wired it up and want it set up so when i press the remote button it comes on and when i release the button it stops working but what im getting now is when i press the button it stays on untill i press the button again and i just dont have enough control that way as it reels in too quickly lol.
i believe you can change the way it works by changing the coding, has anyone done this to theyres?

this i find interesting as I've just bought few power up HD reels, not so sad as they work well

but i have three or four spare standard, hand wind in reels same as the HD power ups from window cleaning wharehouse

do you think most these items would be able to retro fit my spare wind in reels so i could set up in the other vans

Yes without a doubt. How much space do you have o n the side the chain would go?

Yes without a doubt. How much space do you have o n the side the chain would go?

I guess about 2-3cm the Hd version is the same as the hand wind reel but also will hide chain from fingers and other misc items from catching in it

I've been meaning to do it, may become my week of project

What size is the chain does it come in a length that needs sections removed

I'd also like to know this, as I've just purchased one, and don't want to be chasing it. I'd like to have control as when you depress the button it reels in and lift your finger and it stops...................other than that I'm gonna get one of these which is variable and will slow it down................but unfortunately not remote

I did test mine with an old flo controll i built but fou d that i didnt need to decrease the speed i judt switch it off when its wound up.

All the stuff seems to be sourced from China ( no surprise there ), even the variable controller I saw on another vid is again from China.......................nice mark up on the supplied units

currently £52.34 just from eBay for all the parts, will get some metal in the week to make a mounting plate and then game on

i'll try post pics when I've finished may be a couple weeks as next week is going to be brutal with all the extra bookings so might be week of 26th a finally get down to putting together

And the motors etc etc are made in china. I'm also betting the metal reels used are too but can't be arsed to do a search

Anyone had a problem with the wrong motors being delivered? Ive ordered 6 motors...busy boy lol. From 3 different places. 1 came was correct that i ordered, but the other 5...yes 5! have all been belt driven motors. Not a happy bunny.
