Wrong one came through today

Asked  for a replacement not as advertised

It seems as though you can't trust any of these ebay sellers. I went for this, dearer, but hopefully I'll get the right bloody one !

I did think that at first,  as I usually look for an address. I googled their phone number and got an address. I accidentally ordered 2 by mistake, so emailed them to confirm to cancel one. If they were dodgy I doubt they would have replied and took payment for two, but this came though by mail from them,

Hi Paul,

We have received one payment and order, the other was a failed transaction on the website,

This will be shipped today .

With best regards,

Customer service team

So, I'll wait and see  :)

Thanks Smurf. The motor from this company looks a bit better quality than those ebay ones, albeit a bit dearer, but time will tell I suppose ?

cheers  :) ;)

I rang a scooter parts shop today and they were out of stock of the chain motors.

I need to order another but it seems it's a bit of a lottery this. I have the chain and cog here gagging for a motor!

Hi everybody sorry this is my first post but Ive been reading this thread with interest.

I have been in the process of motorizing my pure freedom reel for a while with the same motor and sprockets.

I ordered mine from 2015happydeal and it came with belt drive sprocket, i couldn't be bothered to send it back
so tried taking it off, its glued on well, but i heated it up and used my small gear puller on it and it came off.
Im still waiting for an 11 tooth half moon sprocket from petrol scooters to come then i can carry on with it.

ive no idea if it will work out with the pure freedom reel, but will get some time in the xmas holidays to play.
I'm hoping to mount the motor to the reel just not decided where yet.

Yep, did the same with a bearing puller....and yh definitely some kind of glue holding it on. Also ordered the cog from petrol scooter and waiting for it to arrive. Gonna be interesting to see how it fits.......if at all ?. If it works I'll have two motors......one for the second van. If needed I'll get it welded on.

2015happydeal offered me 50% refund rather than return it. So I may take the offer and fit a cog then

lol, you're talking about an item that, when you go to undo the screws holding the casing on........they immediately round off like butter, I think bodge fits equation rather than quality. If it works its a plus. if it don't I've got a "proper" one coming, and the seller might send me a replacement, so its win win  ;D

There ya go, balanced a bit more....lol, and its still rock solid.

You know when you build something and it works perfectly first time?  Dont ever ti nker with it because if it aint broke dont try to fix it.  😕 yesterday i had a six year old hose reel that i converted to electric and it was perfect.  I took it to bits to put motor on new real.........  I thin k its fixed now.  Im going to make a plate up that slots in to the 3  holes on hose reel and weld 4  bolts on so that cog just slids on.  I cant rest untill it works perfectly.  Does anyone know if the 3  holes are the same distance on most hose reels? If so ill make a load of the plates.

Well, the cogs on and I've wired up the winch remote to see if it works ok. I wanted one to control from the van and one on a key ring from distance if needed  ;D

It is the same exact motor isnt it? As in chain and belt driven one. Ive got 5 sat here that i could just pull apart. I will try heating up tomorrow.

Ive also got cogs and chains sat here doing nothing!!
