Who cares, seriously can you guys not see how childish these threads are, your like a bunch of kids arguing over who gets the
most pocket money.
And don't get me started on the flash with his 33 houses per day. (roll eyes)
Is that the guy on Facebook? He smashes them out I believe.

Not sure, just going by his post above 100 houses in 3 days.

Not being funny but if the guys that work for me only did a grand in a week I would have to ask what went wrong! We work to average above £300 a day per head. Below £300 is seen as a low day! 1 of my 9 cleaners only managed £280 yesterday and that was because he was an hour late in the morning with car trouble. He's also only been with us 4 weeks and had never done the job before. Shows how easy it is to do those numbers. Experienced long established guys out there should find it easy to do more than £1000 on a week!!!

Why would you need to ask ? could you not have seen what went wrong on your 50inch plasmas. lol.

Yeah, we know each other.
I did, for many years, run a 4040 from my flat out to my van. It became way too time consuming , even if I could manage to park close enough to my front door ! I now buy my water from another cleaner until I move.

Hi Lee,

Not a dig... But I've heard reports from my way that people have booked cleans in with you, but no one ever turns up?   You might want to check with whoever answers the phone that they are booking in the work correctly?

Not been reading every post, but i would say it all depends on lacality and most importantly a persons pricing strategy.
For instance, ive seen and some have posted on here, how some shiners are charging £5 per house and sometimes less than that. It would take such cleaners quite a while to earn a descent wage per week or month.

No, seriously, you really really think they’ve nothing to do better with their lives than that?

You can’t earn a grand a week then Dave?

I did earn £250 once but that was for seven days before the clocks changed.

Says it all really mate. You'll criticise the content of the thread then be a brick when you're asked a constructive question.

There's  only two reasons I don't earn that sort of money each week and they are because I am lazy and I don't have to.

Well that's news to me mate. We never miss a customer and our round is exactly in time right now. If someone called and said this we would be able to check on the van trackers if we had been or not. However this doesn't happen. There was a point in the mid summer where we got about 2 weeks behind due to taking on so many new houses at once. Other than that short time there haven't been any problems. We all know what the public can be like when it comes to saying things like that.

The job centre online and/or indeed online. I prefer people who haven't done it before. We train them over 7 working days then they get their own van. Start them off at that point with about £200 on a worksheet and over the following 2 weeks build them up to a normal days worksheet which is £300-£350

I will admit getting good people has been the hardest part of this years project but we seem to have a solid and reliable 9 right now. We still have 2 new vans sat in the yard each day so will be trying to fill those over the next 8 months

You can't compare an owner/cleaner vs employee.

Employee won't care as much etc.

Any particular age range you've found is better suited?

That's actually quite wrong. We tell our customers that we guarantee all our work, if they arnt happy we re do it for free. If my cleaners get to manycomplaints or don't do a good job they get the sack. Everything is monitored. I also take on people who were earning quite a bit less in their last job so I would say they do care about doing a good job. The fact we make good money each day is nothing to do with being slap dash as your post implies. My team go out at 7am, work till 4,have large 700l tanks each so can work with a high flow. Our work is very well priced and routed in the best order each day. Believe me those things all add up.

Matt to answer you the age really doesn't matter. I thought it did but experience especially this year has taught me that everyone is different. I have a guy who is 22 and is honestly one of the best I've had in years.
