2" HIDE-A-HOSE - DIY - YOUR OPINION
« on: November 06, 2016, 05:13:17 pm »
Hi Guys!

I've found this video on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAqzBgN5jvM

from 8.40 min.  his showing 2" vacuum hose with internal solution hose. Maybe his job does not look professional but what do you think about it? Would that have any bad impact of airflow? Any noticeable impact? As I see few benefits of it:
1. only one hose to set up.
2. In case of any leaks your solution hose is in the vacuum hose so no damage to customers walls etc...

What are your opinions?

It does reduce airflow a little, can get snagged up with fibres and also the airflow will cool your solution down inside the solution hose.

2 inch hose has the capacity to handle a massive amount of airflow,  some truck mounts have huge blowers and 2 inch hose can handle the airflow, so I don't think a small bore thermoplastic hose won't hinder the passage of air too much, it's just how it enters & exits the hose that creates problems.

Snagging won't be a problem as long as it's a single line with no joints

I have few spare 2" cuffs and will try.  Obviously no QC inside of vacuum hose - 1 line. I'm just thinking what will be the best to seal  solution hose in cuffs as hole need to be a bit bigger to push thread end  through. Must be elastic and heat resist so cannot be hot gun glue. Epoxy is not elastic.  Silicone?
