Airflex storm not for me
« on: November 06, 2016, 12:16:56 pm »
Hi after running the Ashbys enforcer for well over 2 years , and then buying a Airflex storm not so long back I do find the Ashbys enforcer the better all round machine. I do find the Airflex Storm does have more power than the enforcer.  But find the  Ashbys Enforcer a better build  and setup. What are fellow members views thank

Paul - weren't you always a bit negative about the Enforcer too? Saying it lacked power etc.

Do you think you are maybe wanting too much from a portable and need to consider a TM?

No, bought one and used it for a while. Didn't feel the need for the extra fuel cost etc in the end - the work i do my electric machines are more than capable. With twin vac booster boxes etc i can get the performance i need even at good hose lengths. Heat isn't a problem - i get enough heat to make them couplings hot hot hot!

Sold it and never been more happy with my set up. Very often its all about our own human nature wanting bigger and better all the time.

Funny thing is TM owners will say how fantastic one is and you can't be without one, and then pull off the van an old basic twin vac electric portable machine to do their upholstery jobs!

The performance difference must be down to parallel vs series  ...  its not like the machine plumbing is greatly different on both machines .   Parallel is now available on the enforcer also ..

But yeah , when they designed the enforcer they thought of everything and then executed it with the sturdiest quality build parts . Its untouchable in terms of overall design/build

Yes i like the Enforcer - very well thought out machine and now they have accepted alternative vac set up's it puts it right up there on performance.

The main thing is easy access for maintenance - the Enforcer & Airflex have great access to the guts - very often not considered  when bought but very much appreciated when you need to swap out or service the pump head!
