You've got enough pictures of them on your website, for someone who doesn't use them much ???

To do part/jobs that a guttervac can't manage and repair, replace joints etc

spruce that looks like a wall standoff and for corners of walls  probly not idel for on roof tiles ,if u look on e.bay microlite standoffs come up cheep i got mine for £20 ide never pay £160 tho as i dont use them that often  :)

I agree. I initially bought it as a standoff with wheels. I liked the V in the support rung for corners although its less stable using it this way in practice.
We never had an issue when using it against walls.

The microlite is a much better product. By the photos it has two stay bars in the form of a V.  So no matter how you use it its guaranteed to stay secure. I can't see exactly how to fits onto both ladder bars.

Ours has only 1 stay/support bracket so is inclined to tilt when on a sloping roof surface. If we turn it upside down its fine. I feel totally safe using it that way.

In hindsight it wasn't a very good purchase, but that's the way it is.  It gets used upside down once every 3 months, so

Spruce I do like the wheels on a microlite standoff as are specially designed (D wheels) that go flat when under weight for extra grip. I find having a standoff being able to rest on roof tiles is a much safer way to access a roofline.  Not only that the top of the ladder is above the guttering so you can gain a much better working position and also have the top of the ladder to hold onto. A microlite is also ideal when wanting to stabilise a ladder at the top to stop sideways slip when stepping on/off a flat roof too.

My triple ladders are fitted with an ankalad stabiliser (outriggers) that just folds out from the stiles and I would highly recommend those too when working on your own.

Like king said you can pick up good condition unused or nearly new ankalad and microlite stondoff  if you are lucky on fleebay for the fraction of the cost buying new.

Thanks for that Smurf, I appreciate that.

I did look on Ebay today. There are a couple collection only which look in pretty good condition. There is also another that looks like its been involved in an atomic bomb test.

- not sure how someone has the audacity (is that the right word?) to put it up for resale in a condition like that.

And this one is going to have his more than 10 in stock, in stock, for a long time.

That first link that thing is bent/knackered and only a fool would bid on it.
Second link it seems stardard practice for fleebay shops to put up goods to a silly high price on a shop listing when they don't have any to sell.
