It's in reply to the tests showing the Gardiners ultimate poles to be stiffer than his reach-it, then he compares it to a CLX.

Agree. Just like a certain brush manufacturer in this country.

Couldn't even use a new CLX, that CLX pole looks worn out.

The only test that should be used is LDI test in my book regardless of the brand of poles used in the test.

Why regardless of pole?

Surely like for like is required? Reach it poles are about £1000, he's comparing it to a CLX.

LDI should idealy be conducted by and independant organisation an every type/brand and legth of pole, Also manufactures should clealy state what the LDI is. That way we can have a better understanding of how good or bad every pole on the market is regardless and not have to put up with bullpoope tests that sellers go through trying flog their own gear.

I noticed that too  ;D

I thought it stands up pretty well to be honest  :) considering its a modest (worn out) Hybrid CLX at about a £190, whereas the Reach-iT mini is a full HM Carbon pole at about £650  8)

I would love to see it against the SMAX27 3K (£465)

That would be great - unfortunately, unlike the motor industry, etc. our market is minuscule by comparison.

The real test is working with the pole on real windows with a brush on the top  :)

Another test that we carry out to try and help us in development (but is very difficult to tabulate and show) is a pole's inherent ability to suppress bounce - this has a great affect on the workability of a pole in the real world.

Fortunately he worked it out  :)

It is something we do try and chase up with our international re-sellers. We have full instructions that should go out with every pole - http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/media/wysiwyg/Telescopic_Pole_User_Guide_2015_-_v2.pdf

These are important because they can affect the warranty etc.

I wonder if a waterbed pole wakes up stiff.
