I have one and you change the nuclear resin once you have used 4 normal resin filters  so change it about twice a year cost about £165 a year.
Love the system whether you get better results with it still undecided,  what I would say as ionic used it as a good marketing tool to sell systems  and I know they have sold loads of them when quoting for new business we add the fact that we use parts per billion and as most have not got a clue what that means but it makes you different from the rest and we have got loads of new work from it
As  for the cost by the time you take off the vat, tax relief  the cost is very small especially as most on here are earning £200 a day or they wont get out of bed
We will be looking to add another system at the beginning of next  year and it will be a ppb

12 months

12 months and you don’t know if the windows are cleaner? And it cost you how much?

Ring June at gaps water and see what she says about window cleaners using Nuclear resin,I asked her if it was worth buying a 25 litre bag for
&200 and she laughed at me down the phone.

Not surprised as you used an ampersand (google it) and not a pound.

Parts per billion better results than 000 ppm? Utter drivel. Emperor's new clothes comes to mind.  ::)roll

Would you like to buy some magic beans from me?

Some good advice, here.
And I've only read from the -12 post.
I'll read the rest yesterday.

Thanks for your feedback Martin

Can I ask what size tank it is and how long does it take to make a tank of ppb water?
Reason why I ask my understanding is they way ionic ppb system works you can't produce ppb water on demand strate to the pole. Meaning how dow you know if your using ppb or not?

700 lt tank works just like any other system the only difference is once the system has been filling for 45 min there is a small pump that pumps water back out of the tank that is already 000 ppm and runs it through the nuclear resin  for up to six hours which then will make it ppb so I'm told, as you know there is no way to check this as  its not just a case  of using a simple hand held  device

I do love the fact that its a good selling point, next time I get a cancellation Ill be asking if its because they've
decided to go for a parts per billion user. lol.
That said I get the feeling Martin is a loyal Ionics customer and trying to plug their products.
Maybe ten or more years ago it would have been easy to fall for nonsense like this but with all the info out there
I find it hard to believe anybody would buy into this now.

Many thanks Martin,  I thought that was the case of taking many hour to run water back through the UV filter, PPB filters and nuclear resin back to the tank.   Can I ask is that pump, UV filter,  booster pump etc they fit on that ppb system all 12v or 240v?

Smurf you do realise this is the window cleaning section and not the tropical fish keeping section. lol.

You may well laugh Sean but those ionic ppb systems are fitted with a UV filter too. After all we don't want any algae and/or micro organisms (wiggly things to you) present in ppm water effecting the ppb micron filters and nuclear resin now do we?    ::)roll  ;D

That's another good selling point I suppose as they can say "We don't wash yer windows with wiggly things in it unlike some"  ;D

Mind you with me washing properties down with yeeha mix first helps a wee bit I suppose. I'm also betting ppb water don't do a better job at bringing stained filthy plastics back to white either :P

Main booster pump 240v all the rest 12v
You may laugh at the UV light we have a big client that want use to supple water samples every 3  months to make sure there is nothing nasty in the water as we use hot system

Cheers Martin, So is the tank heated as well or the water heated on demand?

Now I'm just wondering  running ppb water through a heater matrix would probably affect the ppb reading too surely. But guess without a ppb meter gizmo thingy you would never know?

Have you noticed that when you clean weatherboard etc it goes green again very very quickly much quicker than it
Ever did,just a thought.

They're pulling you in mate pulling you in, there's no dangerous wriggly things in your water and hot wont cause you a problem
unless your cleaning with steam and breath it in.
Even the guys who heat their tank water up wont have a problem unless they stick their face in the tank hole and deliberately
breath in the condensation, even doing that the chances of any nasty's getting into your lungs would be very low indeed.
(wont say zero) lol, more chance of picking up a nasty from your shower head.
