My last customer that came up with this comment (last wc charged £5, I was charging  £12) I just said "I'll come once a month,  he was 2 weekly, and you tell me after one clean if you want to continue with me,"
She text me back on the day to say how pleased she was with the clean.
She's 94 btw

I ask how much would they charge.....wait for a stupid price and then ask them how many houses do you think you could clean in a day? (They usually answer still.) And then i say, would you be happy with that as a days wage with the bills you have to pay?

Yet even on the tight fisted people, they agree but still dont want to pay more.
