He only thing with a diesel heater is you can't adjust the temp to within a few degrees you can internally set them i think something like 30-50 and 80 degrees although my heatwave goes up to about 60 odd degrees which is to hot for even chilly days, the thing i would say about hot water is that if a window has the smallest of cracks it will spread it full length of the window in a second lol.

I went back from diesel to gas as diesel heaters can be expensive to maintain.... use batterys quickly and cost big money to buy .... with gas though it's way cheaper and does the same job ,  costs me about £1 for hot all day ... I use a corwoods ecotemp l5 and find it works great ...

how come it costs you £1 a day in gas and it costs me £4 a day?(i use an L10 and work "on the glass" 6 or 7 hours a day).i use a 13kg gas bottle.

do you have a gas tank in the van and fill up at the garage?
price higher/work harder!

Ye I use country wide gas filling station points .... I have an 11kg bottle which has been fitted to a gas safe spec by an engineer.... I am also a Vapourise member which means you can use the countrywide stations at a discount rate .... costs me about £8 a week using hot over 5 days and I work long days ... 8-5:30 so maybe fractionally over a £1 ....

I was looking at this option yonks ago but at the time did not fancy having  a hole cut in the side of the van to have a LPG filling port fitted.
