I orginally  bought an extreme pole until someone warned me about the strict maintenance  you need to do regular. Alex refunded card and I went for he slx 35, bought and additional slx 35 soon after and will be replacing  all our poles to gardiner from now on.  Bought my first system  and poles from ionics over 15 years , think they were ironically  called ott...their prices certainly were!!!!  What I am trying to say is that ave tried the lot over 15 years and personally think the gardiner poles are the best ave used to date.
This is my opinion  what's yours people?

I've had a number of different poles until I bought a CLX 22 - had it for a good few years now and just about to replace the clamps and fit the second replacement brush - I've never previously had a pole that lasted long enough to replace the brush !

Similar story began with the fibreglass whippy poles, then purchased a clx and phoenix pro (hybrid)  poles at similar times.  My brother had the clx I had the phoenix both hybrid but the clx was quite a lot stiffer and easier to use without the whip of the phoenix.  I had enough of it and the shoulder ache  when using it extended.

I also bought an slx 35 and used it for the first time today and also near fully extended for a good couple of hours and boy what a difference. No shoulder ache and when I needed to scrub something I applied pressure to the pole in turn directly to the brush head, with the phoenix pro all it did was add a little pressure and totally bend in towards the window.

Can't knock it too much served us well, but what a pleasant difference the slx was to use.

This is exactly what I started with in 2007 when I went wfp. My first gardiner pole felt like a feather in comparison

 I totally agree about the equivalent to a scaffold tube, i didn't realise how heavy it was until i bought an SLX 25

I bought my SL-X25 for the occasional three storey town house that I have but frequently find myself using it for hours because it's such a nice pole even though my everyday pole is the 18ft version, also a nice pole.

My slx-25 is like triggers broom.
About 4 years old and 3 out of the 5 sections have been replaced with new. 
It's my everyday pole and worth every penny.
