Being a paddy I don't think you can beat a good pair of wellies myself to keep yer feet dry.
I tend to live in em including summer months too. Mind I sometimes get funny looks as you do  ;D  ;D

For general winter gloves I tend to use theses but bearing in mind has a breathabal back so they are no good for trad work like dipping yer hands in a trad bucket etc http://www.screwfix.com/p/skytec-argon-thermal-argon-thermal-grip-gloves-black-x-large/64916?kpid=64916&cm_mmc=Google-_-Product%20Listing%20Ads-_-Sales%20Tracking-_-sales%20tracking%20url&gclid=CjwKEAjwps2_BRC5jduHor-h8xESJADGT-LtjYyDQAUGuT7wpf6dDMs4aK9jDWLTnHp5zdgTPeQ2sRoCY1Hw_wcB

Or if you don't like wearing wellies then a pair of these would do  ;D

I have been using Mucka boots the short version. They are the only boots I've used yet that have managed to keep my feet warm and dry.
I can't recommend them enough...... ;D

Were going paddling guys. Any half decent boot will keep you warm and dry. Doctor martins take some drowning
