Hurty finger competition
« on: October 04, 2016, 12:14:44 am »
I never got round to finish tiling our shower room so I had someone else come and do the work for me. He started on Saturday and finished on Sunday. However he asked me to hold a tile on the work bench whilst he cut a hole in it with a diamond tip tile hole saw attached to a powerful drill. The drill slipped and nearly took my thumb off!
My wife drove me to A&E hitting every pot hole on route and I spent the next few hours suffering like a five year old that just wants his mummy!
The saw demolished my nail and fractured the bone. A lovely nurse had the painstaking job of removing the nail cleaning the wound and stitching what she could together.
Lesson learned!

Sorry to hear that bud.

My wife says I'm not allowed to go near power tools, sharp things etc now due to my Parkinsons shakes. Still that did not stop me spending a few nights in hosptial  lat week with hurty fingers (minor chemical burns) that got infected.  Next time I will be wearing gloves that's if I remember to put them on ;D ;D

Here was me thinking about dropping leaflets to pass the time.... Think I'll just send emails instead!

Alan it's best to never stick yer fingers in a letterbox when delivering leaflets as you never know what is waiting for you at the other side. I'm sure Mike will not be doing that again in a hurry.

Happened about this time last year, now I have a different technique for posting leaflets, I wrap the leaflet over the end of a 1inch stack of leaflets........ then push this through the door, then pull the stack back,  this has the added benefit of perfectly dropping the leaflet on the floor without crumpling it.
