38mm gutter vac poles question
« on: September 26, 2016, 08:20:25 pm »
do these tend to block up alot more than the 51mm bore.
after lots of research i think im gonna order the atom that wcw are doing a discount on at moment with the carbon poles and 1600w vac but concerned about the bore and them blocking up frequently?

The smaller diameter poles are generally used for internal high reach vacuuming not gutter clearing bud.

I've always used larger diameter guttervac poles myself and have not used an atom so can't really comment if they are any good or not. However being a smaller powered vac I'm guessing they deliberately sell smaller diameter guttervac poles with it to help increase the suction power.

No it doesn't increase the suction power using smaller diameter poles in fact it reduces it. We tried this ourselves in the outset and found this out.

How come Nick as most wet vacs the hose are 38 not 51. Same with attachents that come with them?

That's something you'd need to ask the vacuum manufacturers Smurf.

Thanks nick I think I'm gonna order your 1250 now, was close to ordering the skyvac but I've found out they're not full carbon and they only have the 38mm bore.
With your 51mm carbon poles I could just upgrade the vac if I ever felt it wasn't strong enough in the future.
Can you tell me how soon I'd get it if I ordered it tomorrow nick as I have a gutter clear on Sunday at a doctors I do and would love to have it before then if poss!!
Thanks Glen
