Thinking about GO CARDLESS System
« on: September 22, 2016, 11:16:30 am »
Can anyone explain how id get started with getting my customers who pay online or via Paypal to get switched over.
What  details etc would i need off my customers.

Did your customers have any  issues with it , will they have to give you there bank account details.   This some may not want to do.

ATM Some slip through the net without paying if i dont check statements too often.   Or should i just get them to pay via Direct Debit.                    i dont mind collecting locally but afar for the odd one  £££ for fuel
Thanks

You can't sign people up to GC. Your customer needs to do it, themselves, online. If/when GC discover that you have been signing people up they would disable your account.

The best way is to put a link on your website, if you have one.

It is easy,  just send them a link to your sign up page.

Its really easy, when you sign up to gocardless you ger given a unique link, send this to your customers via email, or add it to your website, etc and when they click it they get to your set up page.  The customer does need an email account to do it, so some customers simply cant do it, however loads of mine have switched over, and some of the really bad payers i told them to or i would drop them.

You dont handle any of the actual sign up process and you never have access to their account details, i also made that very clear to my customers.

This is my link

so you can easilly add the link to your web site, from go cardless when you register,  do you fill in the details for how much to deduct from there account,  as it does not mention any ammount for them to put down.
thanks craig
