x jet/down loader
« on: September 19, 2016, 12:27:15 am »
Looking at th x jet, is it working on the same principle as a down loader?
Though my pressure washer isnt great at only 8/9 lpm, it does have a down loader (apologies if not right term) built on, after the pump as the water comes goes into the hose (or nust before hose connection). Would this work in same way if i stick suction tube in my softwash mix and appropriate nozzel on end??  Or would this eventually damage hose and thats why x jet is better

I think you are referring  to a Ventura chemical injector which I believe only works with high flow jets, so it you used a pencil jet to reach high up a building then it wouldn't  suck in the concentrate..... But I'm not certain about this

I think you'll find the chemical injector you have will only suck up when on low pressure

Dont know if im over thinking this or not explaining right.
Currently using a gardiner back pack for soft washing, so at best i think the pump is 5lpm.
Thinking if use pressure washer and chemical injector to suck up the softwash and apply using chemical nozzel. So it will be lowish pressure but im guessing more than back pack. Wondered if this is same principle of the x jet or is it best, (for if i decide to stop using backpack) to invest in x jet and just stick that at end of hose instead of chemical injector?

X jets are matched to the flow of your machine to develop full pressure  and hence get the height depending which nozzle or angle used. I mostly use the x jet to put hypo on the ground and pre mix into the tank and use the wfp gear to apply to walls. roofs are a different matter. You need to match the method to how accurate you need the mixture, hypo don't matter but other do more

downstreaming is a 10/1 mix, Xjet is 6/1 (i think)

you can use various nozzles to downstream/Xjet. theres load of videos on youtube describing it all in great detail. but there is only one way to find out and thats mess about with your jetwash.

its all dependent on how much chemical you want to to put out. Neither are good for any stubborn stains, they are mostly used for light algae on render. bricks etc anything with stubborn stains (roofs, natural stone) your going to need 50/50+ mix
