HI there !!
Can anyone help me i'm looking into starting a conservatory cleaning business as there seem to hundred of them around.
Any advise on which process is best and chemicals to use .
and most of all what sort of price would you charge.

I was expecting to see a large  Conservatory  for £300


It seams to be a growing  area.

I have noticed  one Consevertory Cleaning Specialist in this area.


Is it the latest Franchise  idea seams  to be Loads of  Lawn Care Franchises.


I  wonder if they  have  a  Board.


What I would  find interesting is  the marketing methods used buy these niche services.

Conservatory cleaning will vary depending on size and condition.

Generally speaking I will charge a high price not only to make sure I cover any unforseen problems but also to compensate for the lost time for window cleaning.

Some people will say to keep this type of work for wet weather but I work in the rain anyway so we just book it in and clean it.

I only use WFP for cleaning and find the results are excellent, the stiff bristle brushes really bring the conservatory up clean and get right into all the crevices.

As for cost, I charge 2.5 times the hourly window cleaning rate per operative. Some of you may charge by the hour or have your own pricing structure.

Gutter cleaning, I charge £2.50 per metre for wiping down and cleaning and I charge £4 per metre for a full empty, flush, wipe down including soffits and fascias.

Cheers for reply ,How long did it take you to clean conservatory on Website for £300 . I have a 10 by 12 waiting to be cleaned what would you charge for something like that easy access. You must have to do some parts  by hand and What sort of chemicals do you use to give it a shine because some conservatorys i've come across have black run marks on.

Hi Darren,

99% of the time the conservatory willl clean up just wth WFP. On the odd occassion when it is a little stuborn we disconect the WFP and use a telescopic pole with 14" applicator and all purpose degreaser. Then flush throughly with normal water and then  re-clean with WFP

Hi Chris,

The conservatory on our website took 2 guys just under 2 hours. That includes travelling.

The black marks we get off using the degreaser, as for giving the conservatory a shine, you will find the WFP does that for you.

Welcome to the Forum, please feel free to ask away for any information you may need, the guys and gals on here are always there to help.

This is short for Water Fed Pole, basically it is using Purified Water to clean with, which means that when the water dries on the plastic and glass provided it has been rinsed properly there will be no water marks left behind.

Hi Claire,

I found that 5 litres of Flash Multi Purpose Cleaner is good.

If you are buying trade from a Chemical Supplier then any Mild TFR will be sufficient.

Just use a soluable detergent that you can rinse off.

I am also trying to start up in conservatory cleaning, and possibly roof line cleaning, fascia/soffit/gutters, but don't know where to start in getting insurance for damage etc.

Can anybody give me some ideas where to try. cheers steve.

I have found that using a ladder and small telescopic pole is the only way to get some of the more stubborn stains off conservatory roofs - and plenty of water to rinse off.
