any issues with santander
« on: September 05, 2016, 04:50:00 pm »
Looking at opening an account with Santander after recent letter from Natwest with their charges. Does anyone have issues with  customer addresses not showing up on online statements or do they show up on them also do you also get the name of the customer showing on the statements too.

thanks for any input

I had an absolute nightmare with santander a few years back. The main issue I had is the one you are describing, I'm pretty sure it's sorted now though.

In the end I left them because they paid out the lads wages twice (10 lots of weekly wages). I saw it happening on the online banking and phoned them up to stop it. They told me not to worry, they would cancel one set of payments off. They didn't. I eventually got the money back but by that time the damage was done.

I have recently switched from natwest to Santander...

Custys addresses are showing up fine...bit of a pain in the ass paying cash and cheques into the machine...but for 7.50 a month I'm well happy :)

Also any Bacs payments made to the old account at natwest get redirected to the santander one for 3 years so plenty of time to let custys know the new details.

I've had a personal account with santander for 4 years and never had a problem either.

I recently left nat west due to high charges, and went with Santander, when I look at my on line statement customer name and address are visible, but they won't be if the customer does not add details when paying on line.
All good so far for me and loving the £7.50 a month charges

I've just had a look at Santander terms and conditions and the charges are £7.50 per month if you pay in £1000 a month or less.....

Same here, was facing increase from £25 to projected £81 a month.....
Only  pain is paying in machine, although other week they took them over the counter....
Either way in actually better off at only £7.50 a month.
Just have to make sure custy s change details. Within the 3 year auto transfers honeymoon period
Mr B
If in doubt.....Leave it out !!
