I had one repaired when I first started out. Then shortly afterward it blew again in a different place.
Would have been cheaper just to buy a new one. What with the cost of the repair, down time and all the running about to get it fixed was more hassle than it was worth. But as it happened was still under guarantee so was replaced with a better twin braded hose free of charge. All I had to pay for was the delivery cost.

Now I carry spare hoses and if/when they blow I just bin them.

It hadn't seen much use so just seems a waste. No chance of understanding receipts from where I bought it either.

The  hose I got with that washer I bought was single wire cheap china crap so was replaced with a decent twin wire hose instead.

You know me as I do like bargains Kev. That washer I bought a few years back off fleebay cheap.  Was only 2 months old like brand new and still had 34 months warrantee  ;D ;D

It’s still working to this day after much abuse. But now it's just used as a backup as the 14hp Loncin motor I found a bit thirsty compaired to the honda driven general pumps delta I like to use now. Which was also another bargain off fleebay.

as above a hose csan be mended for around £15 but they usually burst elsewhere within a few days ( or several hours of operation ) best just get a new one

Phoned a company in Barrhead near Glasgow and they quoted £125.00+vat for 20m of hose without connections. WTF.
I usually get stuff from the emerald isle but I'm reluctant to use them again.

I was going to order from there this morning but was put off by the Parcel Force delivery! The guy is a wee ginger tosser, he sneaks up to the door tickles it with a feather and slides a "missed you" card through the door and f***s off. You pay for next day delivery and this wee prick avoids opening the back of his van!

Buy decent hose for start, they last ages, ours well over 12-18 month and used daily with heat. Once it's broke in one place it generally means the hose is past its best so will likely go elsewhere, just replace. For the amount they are used its pennies, and repairing is also dangerous, especially if a claim is made and it's found to be poorly repaired.
