What puts me off offering any protector treatment is that you are re-wetting, and if applied correctly rather than a useless quick misting, will considerably increase drying time. Then there is the curing time, during which the carpet should not be walked upon. In reality you are talking at least 24 hours in a warm environment, which is impracticable in many homes.

If you explain that to your customer it gives them all the facts they need to make an informed choice. I always offer it and 50% have it roughly

Sean - 50%?!!!
I get about 1 a year!!

I`m the same as Dave though - invest all that money buying machines that deep clean and dry the carpet quickly and then having to soak it again with the protector.

Nothing puts me off offering or selling it, I always explain about the drying times and let's remember the easy profit to be made by applying it, it works very well in my experience and I always offer it where appropriate.
